We are currently looking to add a Operations Manager to our team in Lexington, Kentucky. In this role you will be responsible for the management of the production, planning, and packaging/labeling of products. Also responsible for the management and maintenance of the facilities.
What can I expect in this role?
This is a full-time salary exempt position working Monday through Friday onsite.
Some Key Duties In This Role Include
  • Manages product label file management, specification control and associated software/equipment.
  • Mentor supervisors and leads to achieve individual and departmental goals and objectives that are in alignment with company strategic initiatives.
  • Provide support for any Quality Systems Audits (external or internal) as needed
  • Communicate with other supervisors/managers to coordinate operations and activities within departments or between departments.
  • Complete key equipment validations including IQ/OQ/PQ and other supporting process validations.
  • Directs the production and packaging functions performed by the Microbial Team and Packaging & Assembly Team.
  • Manufacturing products as assigned
  • Provides department leadership through hiring, training, developing, and motivating employees for success.
  • Track and report key metrics as needed.
  • Support product quality maintaining compliance with FDA Good Manufacturing Practices, ISO 13485 certification and other key regulations for our industry.
  • Manages the production planning efforts for all products, including catalog, custom and proficiency via Netsuite demand planning and other systems.
  • Create annual budgets for the operations department. Monitor department costs, waste, and overtime to ensure budget goals are met.
  • Manages all aspects of facility maintenance. This includes routine maintenance, preventative maintenance, repairs, housekeeping services and long-term facilities planning.

Here Is What We Are Looking For
  • Practical microbiology laboratory experience preferred.
  • Four-year degree required in Biological Sciences, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or similar related field.
  • Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • The ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Minimum 5 years previous related experience and/or training required.
  • Experience working in the Medical Device or Microbiology industry preferred.
