Samsar Resources was launched in 2020 by Mobility Impact Partners to create a profitable repurposed lithium-ion battery circular economy. Using lean operational logistics, product financing innovation, and battery pack redesign, we aim to unlock the full potential of batteries. Our vision is to develop a connected energy ecosystem to amplify global electrification. We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager for our battery cell processing facility to expand our leadership team.

Position Requirements

We are looking for an entrepreneurial minded individual with a strong background in lean operations and experience in the lithium-ion battery ecosystem. The ideal candidate will closely with our technical development team and oversee the day-to-day operations of our facility. Below is a description for the position responsibilities:

• Actively participate with technical team to develop and implement an operations strategy that supports the business objectives
• Manage and report on production KPI’s as needed to technical and executive leadership
• Proactively coach and mentor employees to increase their contribution, while staying up to date on developments in the trade
• Build and manage the battery processing team and develop a lean process for, testing, sorting & warehousing of battery inventory
• Impact the culture to create an inclusive working environment where team members are engaged, feel valued, and are motivated to be strong contributors
• Own the safety, health, and well-being of the processing team by ensuring responsible practices are used to protect them and their work environment
• Contribute to the continuous process improvement as the business evolves and scales

Experience/Education

• Experience working in a start-up a plus.
• Strong organization skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Manage production performance metrics (efficiency, quality, safety, throughput, costs)
• Can demonstrate ability to meet deadlines and perform under high pressure.
• BS and/or MS in a technical discipline and/or evidence of exceptional experience.
• 5+ year experience managing teams of people, industry experience in lithium-ion batteries preferred.
• Fluent with common MS office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
• Communicate clearly using excellent written and verbal skills
