You will participate in manufacturing effort to produce and test industry’s leading-edge test and measurement products for serial protocols technologies. You will work with multiple teams and across departments, including Product Management, Application engineering, and Validation teams.
Through hands-on learning, interacting with peers and end-users, and mentoring, you will extend your expertise in serial data protocols and in our instruments that test and validate these protocols, enabling you to be part of a leading expert team in this field.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is a critical Operations Management and planning role within the Business Unit (BU) responsible for ensuring on-time delivery of a broad range of products. The Manufacturing Operations Manager is responsible for coordinating all processes related to revenue and overseeing and managing all manufacturing operations, including manufacturing itself, production control, manufacturing engineering.
  • Monitors fulfillment activities and proactively manages exceptions related to inventory shortages.
  • Coordinate with Operations staff and Supply Planning on material availability and on time shipments.
  • Drives continuous improvement and implementation of Lean manufacturing principles
  • Collaborate with Planning, and Materials teams to drive supply according to demand
  • Create and clearly communicate supply schedules, priorities, and status to multiple internal supply teams and external stakeholders.
  • Assists Sr. Director of Operations in maintaining dashboards and recurring reports including updating weekly metrics and deliverables. Provide daily, weekly, and monthly status reports as required
  • Defines goals, improves technologies, and resolves problems in conjunction with managers of manufacturing, quality assurance, materials, engineering, marketing and sales.
  • Translates engineering requirements into state-of-the-art manufacturing strategies and processes, resulting in cost-effective processing and profitable manufacturing of company products.
  • Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
  • Oversees management of critical stock issues, shipping conflicts, special requests from customers and product transitions to deliver orders on-time and complete.
  • Develops operations-related plans, budgets, and policies and procedures.
  • Drives improvement in efficiency and effectiveness to exceed cost, quality and delivery performance goals.
  • Effectively manage customers’ orders, needs and expectations through the order fulfillment process to ensure customer orders are processed timely and efficiently.
  • Participate in determining and providing an optimum plan of operation, equipment, space requirements, and related facilities for assigned areas.
  • Monitor/review weekly production yields and shipment and act as a liaison and sound out early warning.
  • Maintains safety and regulatory compliance relating to the production facility.
  • Monitor daily throughput and address any shortfalls to daily production plan.
Experience, Training, Skills, etc.
  • Cross functional experience (preferably management-level) in Purchasing, Cost Accounting, Manufacturing engineering, Shop floor Control, and Manufacturing with experience in an electronics-related industry.
  • Results driven, analytical, self-motivated, detail oriented with ability to logically identify alternate solutions or approaches to complex problems
  • Bachelor degree – a must
  • Project management and negotiating skills are a plus.
  • Develop programs which improve quality and process efficiencies
  • 8+ years’ experience in Operations Management in a Micro-electronics manufacturing/industrial setting.
  • Masters degree is a plus
  • Solid background in electronics assembly and test processes
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, BAAN)
  • Depth of experience in supply chain management: experience with Asian supply chain management and international logistics preferredStrong Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, or similar experience
  • Demonstrated ability to monitor operations efficiently and effectively with excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills
  • Proven record of analyzing manufacturing / support processes and driving continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify opportunities to improve performance, develop targets and action plans and lead an organization to achieve results
  • Proficiency developing metrics planning. Strong working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to establish effective working relationships with all levels of management and team members.

Salary Range:
$118,800.00 - $199,100.00
