Operations Manager- Farm Food Hub

The Common Market is seeking an Operations Manager for their Southeast Food Hub. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hub, as well as managing a team of staff members. The Common Market serves as a crucial link between local sustainable farmers and community institutions, ensuring the distribution of fresh, healthy food to those in need. As an Operations Manager for the Southeast Food Hub, you will be a key player in building a supply chain for farmers and ranchers who are at the forefront of creating an equitable and resilient food system. The Common Market currently has hubs in four regions: the Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, Texas, and Great Lakes. This position is based at the Southeast warehouse in East Point, GA.
Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customer outreach team to ensure accurate and timely product orders and deliveries.
• Oversee daily hub operations, including inventory management, warehouse logistics, and staff supervision.
• Coordinate with farmers and ranchers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
• Develop and maintain relationships with sustainable farmers and community institutions.
• Analyze data and generate reports to track progress and assess needs and opportunities for growth.
• Develop and manage budgets for the Southeast Food Hub.
• Monitor and manage supply chain operations to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and industry standards.

Requirements

• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in food and beverage management, agriculture, business, or a related field.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and support a diverse team.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and industry standards.
• Passion for promoting sustainable and equitable food systems.
• At least 5 years of experience in food distribution, agriculture, or a related field.
