Operations And Customer Service Specialist

As a Operations and Customer Service Specialist you will become familiar with the accounting process of the Columbia location as well as the shipping department as it relates to logistics.

• Responsible for taking PO's, invoicing, checking product availability, scheduling shipping, tracking/reporting etc. Lots of logistics details and communication.
• Act as one of the primary contacts for customers (internal and external) and respond timely to inquiries
• Assist Controller in month-end close, KPI completion, and reporting as needed
• Become familiar with ITAR shipping guidelines as it relates to Logistics
• Act as a back-up for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and shipping
• Serve as a backup for AP/AR
• Become familiar with the ERP systems as they relate to Finance and Logistics

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Applications
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills
• Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to follow safety procedures with instructions
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment

EDUCATION

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or business preferred. Associate's degree with work experience may substitute.
