• Staff working at a MSK New Jersey location must be up to date with COVID-19 vaccination, which includes having completed the primary COVID-19 vaccination series and booster once eligible as mandated by New Jersey State. All New Jersey staff not yet eligible for a booster must receive a booster within 3 weeks of becoming eligible as a condition of continued employment at MSK.

• Partner with nursing, medical, and allied health professional staff to promote a harmonious working environment.
• Participate in unit-based quality assessment activity through participation in data collection of ancillary activity and identify problems with practical solutions.
• Respond to departmental calls, inquiries, or requests in a timely and courteous manner.
• Implement contingency plans such as changing patient case orders to ensure the smooth operation of the schedule, and advise appropriate personnel of unscheduled changes to meet unit needs.
• Promote teamwork with nursing and surgical personnel to provide efficient, safe, quality services.
• Assist in the training and orientation of new OR Services Coordinators
• Use your superb communication skills effectively with patients, guests, and medical staff to provide support and achieve goals.

• An Associates Degree OR High School diploma and certified vocational training (required)
• Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• A minimum of 1 year of clerical experience in an acute care setting

Hours:

• 8 hour shifts from 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday with weekend rotation
