Operating Room Scheduler/Department Secretary

Responsible for scheduling surgeries/procedures for surgeon offices

Schedule pre-operative appointments that coordinate with the patients surgery day

Responsible for changing the surgery day or cancelling surgery as needed and communicating any changes in the schedule with the surgeons, offices and others as appropriate.

Call the reps/vendors and schedule surgical equipment/supply needs if applicable.

Determine the order by which the patients are scheduled by reviewing procedures and operating room availability

Post add on cases and emergency cases as needed

Additional secretarial duties as assigned

Electronic documentation knowledge a plus
