Onsite Interpreters in New York State

Status: This is an Independent Contractor position.

Summary of Position:

The Onsite Interpreter is responsible for traveling to client sites by appointment, and renders the meaning of conversations in the consecutive mode of interpretation between the target language and English speakers. The interpreter processes information quickly and concisely, recognizes sensitive cultural differences and is professional and courteous at all times. The interpreter uses appropriate terminology and understands common industry procedures and practices. Interpreting assignments may be technical or non-technical in the following fields: healthcare, government services and education.

Location:

Assignments will take place at the client locations throughout the State of New York. The interpreter must provide their own reliable transportation.
