Officer Of The Deck Instructor

Pioneering Evolution has an opening for a Mid/Senior Officer of the Deck Instructor. We are looking for an Instructor with a focus on LCS and Training. This position is an onsite-based position.

Required Experience/Skills:

1. Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as an LCS crew member or providing LCS instruction at an LTF

2. Minimum of three (4) years’ experience as a qualified Officer of the Deck (OOD) on an LCS class ship or trainer.

3. 2 years’ experience as a Navigator on an LCS class or in an LCS training environment.

4. 6 years’ experience with Navy/Coast Guard ship control, navigation and bridge watch duties

5. 6 years’ experience with Navy/Coast Guard shipboard specialty/rating operations and maintenance

6. Experience and ability to conduct traditional classroom instruction as well as support operations and maintenance training

8. Support the “train to qualify” and “train to certify” process utilizing shore-based trainer requiring dynamic assessment of watch standers during warfare scenarios. Specific functions include classroom, dynamic teaching & training, leading individual and team shipboard and trainer assessments requiring advanced knowledge of LCS-like rate-specific work center and WQSB assignments

2. Master Training Specialist

3. Three (3) years of experience as an instructor in a Navy Training Environment, to include curriculum maintenance, writing learning objectives, preparing test items, evaluating instructional materials and the results of instruction and counseling
