Deckhand/Stew Jobs

Deckhand/stew position available on 80 foot Hatteras Motor Yacht. This Yacht is based out of Virginia, but spends the winters in Florida and the Bahamas. During the summertime, we will travel throughout the Chesapeake Bay, we will also travel up North towards Martha's Vineyard, Rhode Island, etc. This position is available immediately for full time employment.

As a stew/deckhand you are responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of the interior of the yacht and assist if available by helping keep the outside clean as well, and assisting with docking. Your responsibility includes everything inside of the yacht.

Responsibilities:

• Set up water toys, including the tender as availability exist
• Interior cleaning, polishing, and maintaining interiors
• Other duties as assigned by the Owner or Captain
• Exterior deck set-up, cleaning, and take-down as available.
• Laundry

Qualifications include:

• Interior cleaning of the yacht
• Basic seamanship
• Line handling
• Experience as a yacht stew and deckhand

Working Conditions

• Ability to stand on your feet for a minimum of 6 hours per day.
• Ability to work outdoors in an environment with various weather conditions such as heat and cold at times.

Must be comfortable working holidays, weekends and extended periods of time.

This is a salaried position, must be able to travel up and down the East Coast. Other company benefits will be gone through at time of interview.
