Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome and Museum is a non-profit aviation museum in Red Hook, NY. We are unlike any place you have ever worked! People from all over the world visit the Aerodrome to watch our shows, go for biplane rides and experience the golden age of aviation.

Overview

The Office Manager is responsible for the day-to-day business and customer service activities of the Aerodrome. The individual reports to the Director. The Office Manager is the initial point of contact for the public, vendors, contractors, and members. The individual is responsible for daily banking, office functions, marketing, member relations, maintaining documentation-especially FAA and other government agency paperwork, staff support, customer interaction, fundraising support, processing donations, and other appropriate activities as approved and assigned by the Board.

This position is part-time, during the air show season (May-October) the position requires upward of 30 hrs per week and during the remainder of the year the position requires fewer hours per week. On occasion, the Office Manager may work additional hours, and on weekends or evenings to support special events.

Qualifications

The Office Manager will have a demonstrated background in office operations, customer service, basic bookkeeping and financial operations, business communications, maintaining records, and a basic understanding of advertising. It is essential that the Officer Manager have demonstrated IT skills, including organization’s management system, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, bookkeeping programs, maintaining backups, and assisting with websites and social media platforms. Excellent interpersonal skills to work transparently with a wide variety of diverse constituencies is required. An Associates Degree in a business program or a demonstrated, equivalent background and knowledge base is desired.

Salary: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
