Job Description

POSITION DETAILS
Department: Occupational Therapy
Location: US:PA:Lewisburg
Typical Work Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday - 8 hours per day (rotating weekends and holidays)
Primary Shift: Shift 1
Work Type: 0.5 (part-time, 40 hours biweekly)
Exempt: No

SUMMARY
This position will assist the Occupational Therapist in serving patients with physical and developmental disorders, using learned skills to promote, reinforce, restore or maintain health through the use of purposeful activities. This includes the following:

1. Transports patients to and from the occupational therapy department using wheelchairs, cart tables, etc. when indicated.
2. Perform lifts and transfers of patients weighing up to 200 pounds.
3. Compile all relevant information (from medical chart, patient, family, team members).
4. Collaborate with occupational therapist and utilize therapy evaluation results and review interview observations to implement the treatment plan.
5. Prepare supplies and equipment for treatment.
6. Maintain treatment documentation according to department policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS
1. Associate degree in occupational therapy from a college accredited by the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association. Currently registered by the American Occupational Therapy Association. Trained in Baltimore Therapeutic Equipment work simulator utilization.
2. Licensed and registered or eligible for license and registration in Pennsylvania.
3. Must possess CPR certification.
4. Pennsylvania state police criminal record check, child abuse history clearance and an FBI criminal history check required.
