Occupational Therapist Assistant - Rft - Therapy Services

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Observes, records, and reports to his/her supervising therapist the conditions, reactions, and responses related to assigned duties.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Therapy Services Director.
• Must complete 20 contact hours during each two (2) year licensing period.
• Participates in clinical team meetings.
• Participate in discharge planning.
• Maintains experts through attendance at professional meetings and literature review.
• Provides in-services within the department, institution, and professional and lay communities.
• Participates in the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
• Performs routine treatment procedures in accordance with the established plan of care.
• Assists the Occupational Therapist in conducting procedures and programs.
• Maintains appropriate documentation in accordance with department policies and procedures.
• Participates in departmental meetings, in-services, and projects.
• Develops and instructs patients and family members in home programs, as appropriate.

• Demonstrate ability to manage general full-time caseload in all related settings.
• Fully vaccinated COVID-19 status preferred.
• Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program.
• Current certification as an Occupational Therapist Assistant, or eligibility and evidence of application for certification.
• Current CPR certification required.
