Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The Occupational Therapy Assistant is responsible for the daily occupational therapy patient care duties/needs as designated by the supervising Occupational Therapist toward care plan goals. This person must implement the spirit and philosophy of the Adrian Dominican Sisters and will ensure that the rights of the patient and/or family are safeguarded (by observation and documentation)

• This position is represented by SEIU Local 1107 and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to communicate effectively utilizing computer verbally and in writing in English.
• LIC COTA = Licensed Occupational Therapist Assistant in State of NV.
• One (1) year of hospital based acute care practice.
• Ability to perform basic functions of Microsoft Office.
• Completed all accredited education requirements to be in possession of a valid license in good standing enabling them to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the State of Nevada.
• CT CPRBLS - Basic Life Support – AHA

Preferred Qualifications:

• Multi-lingual Spanish Tagalog.
• Completed post graduate education completion of CEUs in Acute care geriatrics splinting hand therapy orthopedics pediatrics NICU & neurology or any other clinically relevant coursework/seminars.
• Advanced experience with computer software programs and clinical documentation in Hospital based practice.
• 1 year of hospital based acute care practice.

Pay Range
$32.57 - $44.77 /hour
