JOB PURPOSE

•The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, provides patient treatment and therapy by following an established plan of care directed and supervised by an OTR/L. Responsible for mentoring Assistants, Technicians, and Students. Collaborates with other healthcare team members and physicians in a multi-disiplinary fashion to deliver the highest quality of care. Participates in CQI activities. Facilitates the provision of excellent customer service. •Patients and families: Provide patient care and information. Address concerns and complaints. Project a positive image of the department and hospital. Physicians and other healthcare team members: Promote coordination of care. Address concerns and complaints. Community and Business: Provide education. Promote department and hospital.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

• EDUCATION

oAssociate Degree from an Accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program.

• EXPERIENCE

oNone

• LICENSURE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION

oCurrent NC Board of Occupational Therapy license. Occupational Therapist Assistant license or eligible.
