Physical Requirements

The physical requirements of this position include occasionally lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects up to or over 50lbs; standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25lbs; regularly sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time and performing tasks with repetitive motion (such as typing); occasionally coming into contact with combative or violent people; and occasional (<10% of the time) job-related travel.

Shift

Primarily days, Monday through Friday, with occasional evenings.

As an exempt-level Director position, however, the individual in this role may be needed at any time and will be expected to be available for whatever hours are necessary in order to meet job and departmental needs.

Job Summary

The Director for Interventional Radiology, Diagnostic Radiology, and Cardiac Cath Lab is responsible on a 24-hour basis for ensuring that safe, effective nursing care is given to patients in this area. Through leadership abilities and knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice, the Director will set goals and objectives for the department. Will also set achievable plans for implementation of these goals, which will contribute to the Quality, Safety, and Service agenda for this area and the Enterprise.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical nursing experience with knowledge of professional nursing theory; the ability to lead and direct a department toward goal setting and attainment, taking into account divergent demands while managing scope and timelines; the ability to engage and motivate; and a thorough understanding of resource and employee management.

Preferred Education/Experience

Nursing leadership experience within Interventional Radiology, Diagnostic Radiology, and/or Cardiac Cath Lab preferred.
