Job Description

Title of Position
Nursing Home Administrator

Work Hours
Regular Full-Time (Req# 2023-287). Primarily Monday to Friday, day shift. 40 hours a week. May be required to work beyond regularly scheduled hours as needed.

Description of Position
Responsible for the management of the skilled nursing facility, intermediate care facility, residential care home, and adult day programs. Nursing Home Administrator is responsible for the planning, organizing, staffing, directing and controlling the programs and services of the Geriatric Care Services. Ensures the development and provision of services in accordance with established policies, and applicable standards and regulations.


Qualifications and Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Administration, Social Work, Nursing or related health care field required. Master’s degree in Health Care Administration or related health care field or business administration is preferred. Must have a current Hawaii State license as Nursing Home Administrator (NHA). Must have a minimum of three (3) years work experience as an administrator in a long term care facility; or must have a combination of education and work experience, preferably in management, that would provide the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job duties and responsibilities of this position.
