A Nursing Assistant Trainee is responsible for tasks as assigned by the department director, supervisor or RN trainer. May not perform direct resident care until state CNA registry requirements are met. Reflects the value that the resident comes first. The employee values the Community as the residents’ home and works to create attributes of home and models person centered care.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR TRAINING:

• High School diploma or equivalent is required in MO, for Kansas it is a plus.
• Completion of the required hours of training in an approved CNA class in accordance with the laws of the state.
• May not perform direct resident care until state CNA registry requirements are met.
• Successful completion of the Competency Skills Checklist with an approved CNA instructor (demonstrated skills at either the Skilled or Adequate level).

PHYSICAL OR MENTAL DEMANDS:

This position is classified as Medium Work for physical exertion requirements. Medium work involves lifting no more than 50 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
