CFV Bladen Elizabethtown Kids Elizabethtown, North Carolina BMA Kids Advanced Practice Provider Days (United States of America) Clinical focus must be of benefit to the critical care, trauma or neurosurgical patient. Works closely with the respective physicians in making medical diagnoses and providing medical treatment and ongoing care. Assists in the integration of health care for critical care, trauma, or neurosurgical patients from admission to discharge, guiding the appropriate use of hospital resources toward a positive quality and financial outcome for the patient. Using interpersonal skill processes and clinical knowledge, the Nurse Practitioner will facilitate the staff’s clinical development and interface with other nursing areas, ancillary departments and physicians to facilitate and achieve timely access to their services, as needed, by the patient. Facilitates the educational development and professional growth of nursing personnel in the critical care units. Minimum of 3 years of acute nursing clinical experience preferred. Demonstrates positive interpersonal skills. Demonstrates the ability to mentor and instruct nursing staff. Verbal and written skills required. Demonstrates effective organizational and leadership skills.Speech and auditory acuity for communication of patient needs. Visual acuity for observation of patients. Much standing, walking, bending and lifting. Position may involve skin, eye, mucous membrane, or parenteral contact with blood or other potentially infectious material.
