Atlantic Health System is Seeking a Cardiac Access Nurse Practitioner for a Great Opportunity in Northern New Jersey

Atlantic Health System, one of New Jersey's largest non-profit healthcare networks, is seeking a PerDiem Nurse Practitioner to join Cardiac Services Non-Invasive department at Morristown Medical Center. The ideal candidate will bring a positive and caring attitude, excellent communication skills, and clinical expertise.The hours for this position is 8am - 4pm, no weekends.

Responsibilities:
  • Candidate must have excellent communication and computer skills.
  • Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.
  • Candidate will demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity and Excellence) in every aspect of their job.
  • Candidate will have the ability to utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served.
  • The selected Nurse Practitioner will perform Stress Tests, Pharmacological and Exercise testing , including Nuclear. The Nurse Practitioner will also assist with general patient care in Non-Invasive Cardiology. This is an autonomous role working alongside the Cardiologists.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1 year of Cardiology experience in an Acute Care setting is preferred
  • Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey
  • ACLS and BLS certification required
  • Graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • Cardiac stress testing experience preferred
  • Strong work ethic and a team player who can work independently
  • Must have excellent communication and computer skills
