Nurse Practitioner – PMHNP – Out Patient Pediatric Behavioral Health Program - Ambulatory Care Network/Columbia Campus

As an essential part of our Ambulatory Care Network (ACN), the Pediatric Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner will be working with an interdisciplinary team in the outpatient setting providing psychiatric evaluations, crisis triage, stabilization, and linkage to ongoing outpatient treatment. Medication management and short-term treatment will be provided for children, adolescents and their families. Collaboration with other Mental Health Providers such as Social Workers, Psychologists, Case Manager and Psychiatrists would be integral in patient care.

This is a full time day shift position, Monday- Friday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Preferred Criteria:

• Work with patients with comorbid psychiatric and substance use issues
• Bilingual- English/Spanish
• Pediatric/Behavioral Health NP with 2-3 years experience in the outpatient setting
• Previous work experience providing psychopharmacology and combined psychotherapeutic treatment
• Behavioral Health experience with a focus on children and adolescents
• Strong psychiatric diagnostic skills

Required Criteria:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Current BLS certification
• Board Certification Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner
• Current NYS RN & NP licensure
• Minimum of two years PMHNP experience
• Master’s Degree in Advanced Practice Nursing
