Nurse Extern Med Surg Trauma Per Diem Days

The Nurse Extern, is currently enrolled in a School of Nursing and has successfully completed a Nursing fundamentals course. When on duty, s/he assists patients with activities of daily living and provides basic patient care designed to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of the patient. The Nurse Extern may also be cross-trained to perform unit secretary clerical duties. The nurse After appropriate validation, the Nurse Extern may perform nursing practice interventions learned within his/her clinical training, supported within the scope defined by FLBON.

Qualifications

Required: Completion of Fundamentals/Medical Surgical Clinical Nursing course within an accredited, or approved school of Nursing Program.

Prior clinical experience in area of expertise preferred.

BLS Certification

Candidates in unit have priority based on unit seniority
