Description
PURPOSE:
Clean and maintain the restaurant, spa and public areas in accordance with all housekeeping procedures and standards and safety and security rules and regulations to ensure guest satisfaction. This is a safety sensitive position.
Essential Functions

• Clean pool area after closing and arrange chairs as instructed/specified.
• Walk all assigned floors at beginning and end of shift; remove newspapers and service trays, empty ash urn receptacles, remove trash and/or linens and note any areas that need immediate cleaning.
• Respond at all times, in a friendly, helpful and courteous manner to guests, managers and fellow associates. Report all guest issues and complaints to management.
• Fold linen that has been left over from the previous shift and prepare room attendant carts for their arrival.
• Report any missing/found articles, damage or merchandise problems to the Senior Housekeeper.
• Clean and maintain all corridors and public areas in accordance with all housekeeping procedures and standards and safety and security rules and regulations to ensure guest satisfaction
• Clean all public areas in the prescribed manner while following safety and security procedures and regulations to include but not limited to: lobby, public restrooms, hallways, elevators, service areas, stairwells, etc.
• Perform as a runner for food and beverage to deliver room orders after hours.
• Use floor cleaning machine in all public areas.

Non-essential Functions

• Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.

Other Personnel Issues

• Demonstrate a working knowledge of all hotel safety and security procedures as required maintaining a secure and safe environment for employees as well as guests.
• Read and abide by all the regulations and rules of conduct stated in the employee handbook.
• Abide by payroll policies, procedures (punch in/punch out), Meals and Rest Periods policy and OLS Rules of Conduct.
• Report any unusual occurrences and/or request to the General Manager.

Job Requirements
Ability to read and comprehend labels on chemicals.
One-year Experience Cleaning Is Preferred

Lifting/Pushing/Pulling/Carrying Describe the type(s) of required lifting, pushing, pulling, and/or carrying to include objects, weights and frequency.
Pushing vacuum down entire length of hallway, carrying supplies from department to assigned floor, carrying dirty linen to laundry shoot, removing room service trays and carrying dirty dishes to service area.

Bending/Kneeling Describe the type(s) of required bending and/or kneeling to include when, why and how often.
Dusting requires bending and kneeling to reach all areas. Room service trays are placed on floor for pickup. Bending would be required to retrieve dirty dishes.
Mobility Describe the type(s) of mobility required to include distances and % of time involved.
Movement to reach all areas of responsibility to include: shelves, windows, ledges, pipes, under and around furniture.

Continuous Standing Describe the reasons to include time period and frequency.
Continuously standing and/or walking to accomplish all that is required for position.

Climbing Stairs: Up to approx. 40 steps 15 % of 40 hour week (time period)
