PURPOSE OF POSITION
To provide quality and continuity of care by outlining the Technologists' responsibilities while performing and caring for patients during Neurodiagnostic testing.
RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS
- Performs duties assigned and consistent with the Missions, Vision, and Values of the Aultman Health Foundation.
- Performs technical component of Evoked Potentials.
- Provides extended video EEG monitoring specific to neonatal hypothermic protocol.
- Performs technical component of Electroencephalogram.
- Performs assessment as defined by unit specific policy.
- Completes necessary documentation including networking and managing patient data information.
- Performs technical component of Transcranial Dopplers.
- Provides support during Electromyogram/Nerve Conduction testing by assisting the physician during procedures.
Job Requirements
- Ability to push equipment frequently onto elevators into patient care areas.
- High school diploma recommended prerequisite courses in anatomy and physiology, medical terminology.
- Evidence of good health infrequent absenteeism.
- Ability to meet and interact with the public in a mature, courteous, and professional manner.
- Minimum of 6 months "on-the-job-training" or graduate of an Electroneurodiagnostic Technology program accredited by the committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation.
- Keyboarding/computer skills preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
- 7:00-4:00 M-F or hours as required by the job. Occasional weekends and off -shifts on- call rotation.
- Sitting/standing/moving about during working hours
- Subject to frequent interruptions and changes in priority of duties throughout the day.
