Summary:

G&M Oil Company, Inc. is hiring a Network Engineer position who designs and implements firewalls and conducts maintenance of company network infrastructure. Including the network hardware, connectivity, software, and security at both corporate and C-store retail sites.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Includes the network hardware, connectivity, software, and security at multiple corporate locations and C-Store retail sites within the fueling industry.
• Designs and implements firewalls and conducts maintenance of company network infrastructure.
• Updates network equipment to the latest firmware releases as necessary
• Reports network status to key executives
• Investigates any faults in the network.
• Maximizes network performance through ongoing monitoring, IP address auditing and troubleshooting network problems.
• Installs, configures, and supports network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, Wide-area network (WAN) accelerators, Domain Name Systems (DNS) and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP)

Qualifications:

• Network Security Management
• Strong documentation, interpersonal and communication skills
• CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) certification is desirable
• Five – ten plus years of experience in network engineering
• Strong time management skills
• Fueling industry experience preferred but not required
• General Mathematics
• A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field
• C-Store Retail networking experience preferred but not required
