The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) will provide direct care to select patients at Stony Brook Southampton Hospital in collaboration with an attending Neonatologist. The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) will assist in annually reviewing NNP protocols and instructing residents and NP students in DR resuscitation and NICU stabilization skills (e.g., NRP).
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Nursing or completion of a course for Nurse Practitioner and certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner. New York State license as a Nurse Practitioner. Minimum one year of full time clinical experience working in a newborn nursery.
Preferred Qualifications:
Five or more years of clinical experience working in a newborn nursery.
