SALARY: $21 – 26/hour


PRIMARY PURPOSE:


Since 1995, NPCA has created unique in-park experiences designed to give NPCA members behind-the-scenes access to National Park Service staff, NPCA partners, and other local specialists. NPCA’s collection of experiences generates brand awareness, engages travelers in NPCA’s park protection work and motivates donors to increase their giving.


The Coordinator will support NPCA’s portfolio of national parks experiences and the Advancement/Development teams to help create a seamless and best-in-class donor experience at NPCA. Under the supervision of the Associate Director of National Parks Experiences, this position will assist with the successful coordination and implementation of engagement opportunities that will powerfully introduce national park enthusiasts to NPCA’s biggest priorities and most important funding opportunities.


This staff member supports the execution of NPCA donor engagement efforts (including the Educational Travel Program, donor private custom journeys, in-park experiences, digital and virtual experiences, and more) for development donors. This position aids in elevating the donor experience, coordinating with outside partners and vendors, managing documentation and materials for donor experiences, and providing critical support in administrative matters that showcase NPCA’s work and build donor loyalty.


This position will assist with a wide variety of project management deliverables and administrative tasks and requires strong organizational skills, the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and prioritize assignments.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Donor Experience Coordination


Deliver onboarding materials and training, in addition to pre- and post-experience donor communications, in collaboration with operators and vendors. Ensure that stakeholders (including Development Staff, Trustees, and other involved parties) receive timely information about upcoming opportunities.


Communicate directly with NPCA members and donors and serve as a liaison between travelers and trip operators. Collaborate with the Advancement Team, program staff frontline fundraiser colleagues, and other natural partners to ensure participants are integrated into fundraising portfolios, donor constituencies, and/or other engagement plans to strengthen relationships post-experience.


Utilize project management tools to track program deliverables. Ensure program data-integrity and tracking of participation and engagement in the CRM database (Revolution Online / ROI) and assist with producing reports and tracking experience metrics.


Collect, analyze, and share experience summaries and evaluations to key stakeholders and provide feedback to recommend improvements or modifications for future donor engagement opportunities.

Assists with mailing projects and other administrative tasks for the Advancement programs. Assists in logistics of pulling data, printing, and mailing.

MINIMUM WORK SCHEDULE:


Flexible. 20-hour FOUR DAY work week, FIVE HOURS Monday through Thursday. Core office hours are 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday – Thursday. On occasion, some of the 20 hour workweek may need flexibility for rare nights and weekends that may be required, in exception of the four-day work week ethos, as dictated by event scheduling. Your manager will always work with you to provide latitude for work-life balance around events/donor experiences which may require you to work outside the four-day work week.


MINIMUM SCOPE OF POSITION:


This position requires the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of NPCA staff both in the Washington, D.C. office and regional offices.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES, SKILLS, EDUCATION AND TRAITS:


The ideal candidate will have:


  • Excellent writing and communication skills.

  • 1-3 years administrative experience or similar.

  • Ability to set priorities, coordinate multiple projects, work well under time constraints, meet deadlines and organize tasks.
