Job Description

The National Fleet Sales Manager for ConMet is responsible for establishing and maintaining excellent relationships with key purchasing, service and ownership personnel at fleets covering the west coast states.  Additional relationships required include dealership fleet sales and corporate fleet sales personnel of the OEM Truck and Trailer manufacturers. The primary goal of the position is to grow ConMet's sales and profitability, meeting target growth levels. 
This role is responsible for the development and successful execution of our Fleet sales conversion plan, leading to sales growth consistent with our overall growth strategy. This includes the baseline of current sales penetration (current fleet sales customers) and the expansion of the fleet pull effect through conversion of fleet prospects to customers.
An additional area of responsibility includes providing feedback to the ConMet organization regarding our competitive position in price, product features and benefits, and customer support elements. Documentation of fleet success and transfer of this information to OEM sales, Aftermarket sales and ConMet management is key in assuring pull through efforts translate into sales volume.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Understand the voice of the customer ensuring customer quality standards are met
  • Maintain and foster relationships at all levels of the customer organization as well as all levels and disciplines of ConMet
  • Frequent travel will be required to achieve objectives and support industry events
  • Responsible for achieving annual revenue and earnings objectives through fleet conversions and retention for ConMet Trailer Sales
  • Assist the VP OE Trailer, Fleet, and Service with forecasting to ensure proper support of the sales plan
  • Maintain contact with ConMet customer service, engineering, field service, and plant locations and become the primary liaison between ConMet and its end users
  • Develop and maintain direct relationships with key customers, industry participants and influencing organizations to maximize the value of the ConMet brand

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum four years of sales experience in the commercial vehicle market (i.e. trucking) required.

Compensation & Benefits 
  • Ten paid holidays per year.
  • Vacation plan – ConMet offers exempt employees a paid vacation benefit that provides the flexibility to take time off from work based on factors including good discretion, sound performance, and consideration of overall team and business needs.
  • Paid sick leave up to 10 days (80 hours) per calendar year
  • New hires generally start between $81,475 - $116,393. 
  • The full salary range for the position, across all geographies is, $81,475 - $139,671 per year.  The upper portion of the salary range is typically reserved for existing employees who demonstrate strong performance over time. Starting salary will vary by location, qualifications, and prior experience.
  • 401k - The Company provides a 401(k) Plan with a 4% employer contribution match.
