About this Position:

Team member responsible for supporting the regional development and maintenance of vehicle communication tools, equipment data interface and electrical new technologies and systems to enhance new model launches and improve plant manufacturing characteristics.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support ownership and maintenance of the cybersecurity and software writing systems.
  • Maintain linkage between business + IT activity including project requirements + schedules.
  • Regional reporting and characteristic monitoring/improvement for electrical functions/tools.
  • Support technical issues across all NA plants + models and emergency spot support.
  • Technical support of electrical vehicle function development and associated factory process development for new model.
  • Training/mentoring for plant members.
  • Study ECU specifications to determine required system and vehicle communication tool changes.
  • Support business operations that impact Regional or Global procedures/policies.
  • Support R&D theme studies for implementation of new vehicle and manufacturing technologies.
  • Systems/tool development related to software flashing, cybersecurity, vehicle communication tool.

Who we are seeking:

Required Work Experience:

  • Less than 1 year of experience including intern/co-op.

Required Education:

  • Associates or technical degree in Engineering or Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent job experience with vehicle electronics, systems, and tools.

Desired skills:

  • Ability to understand electrical and IT technical details and terminology including cybersecurity and ECU software specifications.

Additional Position Factors:

  • Japan travel (1x/yr) possible dependent on specific assignments.
  • Some travel to NA plants (2-3 trips/yr possible) for direct plant support/coordination with Local plant members.
  • Majority of work will be office/PC related with no specific physical requirements, 5-10hours/week OT anticipated.
