Job Description
Are you ready to inspire and educate on your terms? We're changing that narrative. Your journey with us means having a ready-made curriculum, minimal administrative burdens, and a robust support system. You're in the driver's seat – select the classes you're passionate about and craft your ideal schedule!
Let's discuss compensation upfront: Depending on the subject, location, and class assignment, you can earn between $30.00 and $32.00 per hour. We value your commitment, compensating you not only for your classroom time but also for out-of-classroom tasks like grading, preparing, and collaborating. Bonuses and discretionary stipends are also part of our package. We believe in empowering you to design your schedule for maximum efficiency.
Our team academic support across a spectrum of special education settings and needs. These encompass traditional resource rooms, transitional settings, self-contained classrooms, and more. Our focus remains steadfast – supporting students with diverse abilities such as other health impairments, mild to moderate disabilities, emotional or behavioral disorders, autism spectrum disorder, specific learning disabilities, and beyond.
What's Required
An active, verifiable Special Education teaching certificate in the US.
Willingness to teach Math and/or English Language Arts.
Solid foundational knowledge about special education teaching, adaptable to various disability types and school settings. Special education-certified educators should be equipped to instruct students at all developmental levels and needs.
A bachelor's degree from a US-accredited university or college.
A daily availability of at least five consecutive hours, Monday through Friday, from 8am to 4pm EST.
Flexibility to work part-time, averaging 5-25 hours per week during standard school hours.
A reliable laptop/desktop with high-speed internet connectivity.
Experience working with middle school students (grades 6-8).
Above all – a genuine passion for the art of teaching!
Your Responsibilities
Become an integral part of our Teacher Network, offering both permanent teaching positions and substitute opportunities.
Lead Special Education classes for grades 6-8 within a US school district as the official instructor.
What We Offer
Unparalleled autonomy and flexibility, supported by a dedicated network.
Compensation for both teaching and administrative hours, along with opportunities for stipends and bonuses.
100% remote teaching – while your students remain in physical classrooms, you can teach from your preferred location!
A robust support system, including a Classroom Coach working alongside students, an Academic Coach to guide your journey, and a community of fellow teachers to connect and learn from.
Focus on your core mission – teaching Special Education. We've taken care of curriculum development so you can concentrate on delivering impactful lessons and customizing learning for student triumph.
We honor educators as the learned professionals they are. We empower our teachers to pick the classes they're passionate about, set their work hours, and choose where they teach – all while leading live classrooms nationwide. Join us and finally achieve the work-life balance you've been seeking!
