Motion Designer Jobs

Vicon is a world leading video and access control solutions provider in the enterprise commercial security market. Recent growth in the market has created the demand for Vicon to add a Customer Success - Motion Designer to the team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years in a similar role (or have other equal relevant experience), a strong knowledge of trends and technologies, and can execute at a high level across a broad range of audiences and styles. This role will work closely with our Sales, Marketing and Product teams to create, conceptualize, and deliver a wide variety of motion and animation related elements to support internal/external training, sales enablement assets, customer facing content, and UX. We expect the candidate to create unique, creative, and engaging content with the ability to handle multiple projects with competing deadlines. Combining art and technology to communicate, inspire, inform, and captivate through creative elements, providing the audience an unmatched motion experience.

Key attributes for this role include:

• High level understanding of Vicon’s products and solutions to support creation of content to include:

-Video management software

-Network cameras and encoders

-Servers and NVRs

-Access Control hardware, software, and readers

• Is a team player and works cross departmentally and thrives in a collaborative environment yet also can work independently.
• Strong production skills cradle to grave including storyboarding, filming, editing, mixing, and delivery in multiple formats.
• Continue to research, learn, and implement new trends, technologies in content creation as well as systems and platforms used.
• Has 3+ years of experience within motion design + editing.
• Non-linear editing experience using but not limited to: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere, After effects).
• Knowledge of the post-production process, including media management and encoding video to various formats.
• Demonstrate intelligent thinking, strong organizational skills with an eye for detail and accuracy.
• Possesses strong design conceptualization and problem-solving skills.
• Work in a fast-paced visual effects production environment.
• A strong understanding of fundamental design, sense of color, typography, and composition.
• Has the versatility to replicate/emulate a variety of styles.
• Thinks strategically about how to creatively engage audiences.

Minimum Position requirements:

• Strong networking skill set with an ability to learn and execute quickly
• Video security market experience a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in art, design or equivalent
• Customer Experience focus with strong knowledge of trends and technologies
• Skills include but are not limited to: After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere and Adobe CS. 3D motion experience is a plus
• 5+ years’ experience in design related role
• 3+ years’ experience with motion design + editing
