What You’ll Get to Do

The Modeling and Simulation Specialist III position will support the Army Futures Command (AFC) Assured Positioning, Navigation, Timing, and Space (APNT/Space) Cross-Functional Team (CFT). The APNT/Space CFT is responsible for enabling the delivery of advanced requirements and enabling technologies for APNT, Space, Multi Domain Operations (MDO), High Altitude (HA), and Navigation Warfare (NAVWAR). Working together with a core team of experts, the CFT informs operational requirements and technical performance through continuous experimentation and prototyping, technology integration, and soldier feedback. Through this process, the APNT CFT supports the AFC in delivering next generation weapons, vehicles, and equipment at an accelerated rate, giving Army Forces the ability to deploy, fight, and win decisively against any adversary anytime and anywhere.

More About the Role

Expert in modeling and simulation functions or operations such as, but not limited to exercises, plans, coordination, demonstrations, and instruction in the fields such as, but not limited to health, environmental, transportation, law enforcement, military, and civil agencies.

Conduct M&S and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) analysis including simulation, high-level architecture, planning, development, verification and validating, and simulations for CFT prototypes and subsystems.

Simulation shall include technical analyses and assessments to develop recommendations, and maintain system integration labs, facilities, and analysis tools.

Conduct M&S activities in support of the analyses, exercises, wargames, and experiments conducted by the Government, to include information exchange and coordination for model capabilities, technical standards, interoperability and reuse, model and simulation support planning, model and simulation data and architecture management, configuration management, development and verification, validation, and accreditation.

Provides supervision and guidance on the proper operation and use of simulation models and exercises. May support live, constructive, or virtual training.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications

Minimum of 12+ years of experience in the field or in a related area

Must have at a minimum a High School Diploma

Must be familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures

Must have extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and independently performs a wide variety of complicated tasks.

Able to provide consultation on complex projects and be the top-level contributor/specialist.

Must have an active secret clearance

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have

BA/BS preferred, some positions may require master’s degree and/or Ph.D.

TS/SCI preferred
