Job Description
What to Expect

Tesla Motors is looking for an experienced Mobile Tire Technician to work on one of the most progressive vehicle brands in the world. This position requires a significant amount of customer interaction, so the ideal candidate will not only possess the technical acumen, but also the ability to provide a strong level of customer service. This position will service the Santa Ana area; however, the role will require daily travel within the Orange County region directed by Mobile Tire Dispatch team. What You’ll Do
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Operate a variety of hand, power, and shop tools
  • Performs apprentice level work in the inspection, repair, and service of Tesla electric vehicles
  • Maintain records of time, expenses and materials
  • Help maintain cleanliness of vehicles
  • Daily regional travel
  • Support other Mobile Service technicians and Tesla Service Centers as needed
  • Perform equipment inspections, adjustments and certifications
  • Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines
What You’ll Bring
  • Must be willing to become DOT certified
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work, including the public and multiple internal stakeholders
  • Valid driver’s license in the country (State for US) in which you are applying with a clean driving history
  • Excellent customer service and problem solving abilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to follow instructions
  • Must be comfortable with daily regional travel and operating a large service vehicle
  • Trade school training/ ASE’s a plus
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems, processes, and a dynamic work environment
  • Experience operating a tow and trailer
  • Must be 21 or older
  • Knowledge of methods and techniques in the maintenance and repair of vehicles
  • Must display a sense of urgency when responding to customer Roadside Assistance needs
  • Understanding and training on mounting and balancing tires and tire repair
