Mine & Plant Equipment Operators

Cleveland-Cliffs has immediate opportunities for Mine and Equipment Operators. The primary function of this position is to operate equipment either in the Mine (Pit) or Plant processing environment. This may include, but not limited to dump trucks, front-end loaders, dozers and graders in the pit or the monitoring, cleaning, sampling, and maintenance tasks associated with the operation of plant equipment.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• May require working in a dusty and loud environment
• Will require Hand/Eye Communication
• May require bending, lifting, climbing, and communicating via radio
• Other duties as assigned.
• May require maneuvering of large equipment

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be flexible with work assignments; will assist other departments as needed and required.
• Must have an exceptional work ethic, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work in a self-directed team environment.
• Recent heavy equipment operating and/or industrial experience is required.
• Solid work/school attendance.
• Excellent safety record and genuine concern for safety in the workplace.
• Must also be willing to work a rotating shift schedule (Days, Afternoons, and Nights) with varying days off.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two-year degree.
• Experience operating heavy equipment, or working in an industrial setting.
