The job duties in this is UAW-represented Skilled Trades position includes, a maintenance mechanic who rigs, installs, services, moves and dismantles equipment and machinery and performs such other work as not specifically designated under other maintenance classifications, includes moving and locating machines and equipment according to floor plans; installing, rearranging and removing overhead line shafting, mechanical handling systems, hoists, etc. Use such tools and equipment as drill presses, power saws, chain falls, jacks, skids, slings, burning torches, and other types of portable and hand tools. When required, should be able to plan, layout and complete work with a minimum of supervision. May be assisted by helpers.
May also be required to handle/manage hazardous waste from time to time.
