We are looking for a middle-weight UX/UI designer to join our team at an eCommerce agency based in Birmingham. You will be responsible for designing user interfaces and experiences for a variety of projects from the initial brief to point of completion. You will collaborate closely with clients and our friendly and experienced team to ensure that all projects are delivered within budget and on schedule.

Ideally, you will have at least 2 years’ of experience managing eCommerce projects, with a proven track record of managing and delivering multiple projects on time and simultaneously.

This position may involve travel to meet and spend time with our global clients.

Create user-centred designs, wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs for web and mobile applications

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and project managers, to deliver high-quality designs that meet project requirements

Conduct user research, usability testing, and competitor analysis to inform design decisions

Ensure that design solutions are consistent with brand guidelines and meet accessibility standards

Delivery of workshops, interviews and meetings with clients

Communicate design concepts and ideas to clients and team members

Work with developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in UX/UI design

Bring extensive knowledge, experience, cultural context and creative input to our client and internal projects

2+ years of agency or similar experience in UX/UI design for web and mobile applications

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite

Strong understanding of user-centred design principles and practices

Strong communication skills

Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively

Ability to work within and suggest improvements to a design process

Desire to learn new skills and develop your career

Understanding of interaction design principles and practices

Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects

Understanding of eCommerce platforms and content management systems

Experience with Jira and project management tools

Knowledge of the BigCommerce platform
