Middle School Guidance Counselor

Missisquoi Valley Union Middle/High School in Swanton, Vermont has an opening for a dynamic and energetic Middle School Guidance Counselor. Successful candidates will work with 7th and 8th grade students and their respective team of teachers. They will transition students from the elementary school to MVU as well as transitioning 8th graders into high school.Candidates will have solid knowledge of middle school student developmental needs along with strong communication and collaboration skills. Duties include planning academic and grade level transitions, individual and targeted small group counseling, consulting with teachers, universal education in classrooms, and collaborating with individuals and groups to support student learning.
Candidates should have knowledge and experience with SEL and strong relationship building skills.
