Mgr, Housekeeping - FT - Fountain Valley

Position Summary:

Plan, organize, manage and control the administrative and operational duties of the Housekeeping and Linen Departments. Oversee maintenance, cleanliness and quality of service to all patient and public areas. Oversee inventory of supplies and material and ensure the operations are within budgetary parameters or justifiable variances exist, make changes as needed. Ensure adherence and compliance to organizational and regulatory policies and procedures. Oversee management of meetings, training, and development of staff. Design and implement programs that will meet both the needs of the customer, organization, and department. Oversee quality of assurance audits and develop corrective action plans for deficiencies. Oversee special related projects. Act as liaison between staff, upper-level management and customers. Provide guidance to housekeeping personnel. Assist Facility Director in all aspects of building and surrounding campus cleanliness and doing so, where applicable, in accordance with state and local regulations to provide a safe and comfortable environment.

Qualifications:

Minimum five years of acute hospital experience. Some college education preferred. Must possess strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Bilingual preferred. Demonstrate knowledge of all policy and procedures pertaining to Housekeeping. Waste Management Plans and infection control. Computer literate and excellent leadership skills.
