Summary
The Merchandiser develops the seasonal merchandise strategy to drive retail store business growth against the financial plan, partnering with the cross functional team to create fast, easy and meaningful shopping experiences for our consumer. Responsibilities include assortment and investment strategies, analyzing sales to create business and product recaps, identifying business opportunities, influencing the cross functional team, testing and responding, providing in store visual guidance and monitoring the market.

Responsibilities
Drive seasonal merchandise strategies and product presentations to create compelling omni-channel experiences in stores and maximize revenue and conversion
Build assortments and strategies aligned to overall category and D2C strategy; Balance the art and science when assisting in product selection by store
Collaborate with cross functional team to align and support strategies across total D2C
Partner closely with the wholesale product team to understand and influence product assortment options
Analyze current business trends; Identify business opportunities through sales performance analysis and partner with cross functional team to execute on opportunities
Monitor the market and competitive set regularly, looking for product trends, market opportunities and visual presentation ideas with a focus on the omni-channel shopping experience. Partner with the cross functional teams to execute on these opportunities
Participate in the development of an annual and seasonal financial revenue plan and monthly forecast by assigned category to maximize product profitability, internal gross margin and inventory management.
Mine customer feedback via store associate feedback, online ratings & reviews, groundbreaker touchpoints and in store firsthand experiences to identify optimization opportunities
Build monthly visual merchandising presentation guidelines based on business goals and product strategies
Manage partnerships with third party vendors to build and execute relevant assortments that support the store strategy and improve the customer experience
Communicate seasonal strategies, product information, flow timing and in store presentation guidance in a collaborative way to key cross functional team and leadership
Seek new opportunities to grow the business and further personal & professional development
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience required in Merchandising or Related Field
Required Skills and Experience
4 or more years of merchandising, retail experience or industry related experience required
Apparel, retail or consumer products experience preferred
Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Experience with visual merchandising tools a plus
Ability and desire to work at both the tactical/operational and strategic levels
Strong quantitative/analytical skills and mindset
Detail oriented
Strong understanding and passion for product, merchandising, store and website experiences
Team player with exceptional collaboration and communication skills
General product knowledge of apparel a plus

Office Environment
Light Lifting (10-15 lbs.)
Willing to work some weekends if necessary
Travel (10%)
Hybrid location: Associate will work on-site regularly as needed for work activities.
