Description:

If you are looking to work as a Men's Soccer coach and fill some of your time shaping and molding today's athletes, this may be the perfect job for you.

The Department of Athletics and Recreation is searching for a part-time Assistant Men's Soccer Coach who is a positive, energetic and enthusiastic leader with the ability to teach, motivate, build and develop, and recruit student-athletes. The ideal candidate will be an organized, effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills who is a flexible team player. Responsibilities will include assisting in the organization and administration of all aspects of the men's soccer program including teaching and implementing skills and strategy, recruiting, and implementation of NCAA, conference, and institutional policy and regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Aid in prospective student-athlete recruitment
  • Assist the Head Coach with various aspects of coaching, such as planning and executing practices, video review and opponent scouting, and game planning
  • Support and attend department and campus functions
  • Complete campus Title IX and DEI training
  • Drive the team to practices and games.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Follow NCAA Division III rules and regulations and pass annual Coaches Exam

Salary: $6000, part-time, spanning approximately 20 weeks across fall and spring seasons.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree

Knowledge & Experience:
  • Ability to work well in a diverse environment
  • Availability to work nights and weekends for games and early morning practices is a must
  • Valid drivers license with the ability to drive a 12-passenger van
  • AED/CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Soccer Coaching / Playing experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Goalkeeper coaching is a plus
  • Soccer coaching experience at the collegiate level
  • Recruiting experience
  • USSF / USCA Coaching Licenses
  • Reporting to the Head Mens Soccer Coach, the Assistant Coach will assist in developing, organizing, and administering all aspects of a competitive NCAA Division III soccer program.
