job Title: Membership Sales Representative


Department: Membership & Revenue


Reports To: Sr. Director of Revenue and Membership Development


Summary:


This Hybrid position is responsible for recruiting businesses to join the Chamber, primarily engaged away from the office. Engages in appropriate prospecting activities to achieve monthly new member and revenue goals within defined territory.


This is a salary plus commission and travel allowances provided with a great benefits package.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Create invoices and make regular updates to the existing database.
  • Contact all new members within the first month of membership to welcome them to the Chamber.
  • Sales must be achieved through personal contact and other materials approved by the Chamber.
  • Contact all new members at the 6-month mark to answer any questions regarding membership.
  • Update all new member information including SIC number of employees and business description in the Chamber’s database.
  • Meet weekly appointment and sales presentation goals.
  • Prepare daily call/visit activity report and appointment travel schedule with mileage
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain a territory of prospects from outside sources as well as the established database.
  • Records may not be invoiced until contact has been established.
  • Must consistently prospect, schedule, and attend meetings with potential members.
