Medication Aide Jobs

$27 per hour base pay

2nd shift (3-11 pm) base pay plus $0.75 shift differential

3rd shift (11p-7a) base pay plus additional $4.00 per hour premium pay for FT 5 days per week only

All 8-hour shifts and require working every other weekend

Somerfield Health Center at The Heritage at Brentwood is currently seeking full-time Certified Medication Aides for 2nd and 3rd shifts, including alternating weekends. Somerfield at The Heritage is a 5-star, 66-bed skilled nursing facility on the beautiful campus of The Heritage at Brentwood in TN. Job Responsibilities

• Feeds residents and ensures taking their medications.
• Checks with nursing if there are any questions regarding any medication
• Reports medication errors or reactions to medications immediately
• Administers care to residents with various injuries, illnesses, or disabilities.
• Performs duties as a CNA by assisting residents with daily needs, giving treatments, performing tests, collecting specimens, and carrying out procedures as instructed by nursing.
• Helps residents with daily needs, including bathing and maintaining proper hygiene.
• Monitors resident vital signs.
• Performs duties as Certified Medication Aide by safety preparing, administering, and charting all medications/drugs by following administration protocol

Qualifications

• Prior geriatric nursing aide experience is preferred.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification preferred
• Successful completion of state-approved geriatric nursing assistant training program and Medicine Aide Course
• Active Medication Aide certification in Tennessee required
