Medical Receptionist (Part-Time) Diabetes Education Program

Description: Working directly with Diabetes Educators and patients in support of the Diabetes Education Program. Some travel involved. Outreach to patients with Diabetes Education referrals. Make appointments for education based off incoming referral. Provide program administrative support like organizing, creating, sorting, filing. Help host group education sessions. Must be medical terminology friendly and have basic excel spreadsheet knowledge.

Do you have what it takes to be a Medical Receptionist:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• 1-2 years of Medical Office experience preferred
• Strong computer skills required
• EMR experience preferred

Medical Receptionists are the first staff member to interact with patients. They are responsible for patient registration and many operational tasks.

• Register new and established patients in the computer
• Responsible for having appropriate paperwork filled out by patients
• Orient new patients, and prepare patient charts
• Obtain correct demographic and financial information
