NextCare Urgent Care is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Patient Service Specialist Lead (Medical Front Office Receptionist Lead) that likes the challenge of a fast pace setting and working in a team environment. Responsibilities


The Patient Service Specialist Lead (Medical Front Office Receptionist Lead) is the first point of contact for patients in the clinic. The Patient Service Specialist Lead keeps patients and families informed of wait times, monitors the flow of patients, processes patients for discharge including preparing charges, collecting payment, obtaining all necessary signatures and issuing receipts, balances the cash draw at the end of each day and prepares the daily bank deposit, patient scheduling, telephone reception and Front Desk and Lobby cleanliness.


Under the direct supervision of the Clinical Manager, the Front Office Team Lead position will train new clinic staff and serve as a point person for job questions pertaining to front office clinic staff duties.


This position will monitor and oversee the PSS team’s work to assure that patient encounters are processed in accordance with NextCare policy and medical billing guidelines.


This position will review billing error reports and provide remedial training to Patient Service Specialist staff to ensure the clinic is compliant with NextCare time of service collections and medical billing processes and policies.


This position will troubleshoot equipment failures and systematic problems stemming from the Front Office.


This position must be able to make quick and accurate decisions to handle patient issues with the upmost care.


This position is required to work clinic Front Office shifts to maintain Patient Service Specialist knowledge and skills.

The Patient Service Specialist Lead (Medical Front Office Receptionist Lead) supports the organization with customer service and treating all of our patients with respect and dignity. They ensure the clinic and front reception area is running smoothly and patient flow at the optimum.


Essential Education, Experience And Skills


Education: Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent


Experience: Typing and computer proficiency in Windows based software, effective and clear communicator, orally and in writing.


Skills: Ability to multi-task, provide quality customer service, prioritize and critical thinking in a fast paced environment


Valued But Not Required Education, Experience And Skills


Education: Medical Administrative Assistant Certificate or equivalent


Experience: Prior experience working in registration or front office in a physician’s office, hospital emergency department and/or urgent care setting
