Medical Assistant/X-Ray Tech

Primary Responsibilities/Requirements:

• Bring patients back to exam rooms and triage patients
• Provide coverage for other clinical teams, including x-ray pool, as needed when not in clinic
• Perform all x-rays- must be licensed RT
• Responding to and charting patient messages
• Assist with in-office procedures
• Assist other team members as needed
• Locate any necessary imaging, test results or reports for upcoming appointments
• Providing various forms of patient education and handouts
• Travel locally to satellite offices as schedule requires
• Assist with phone messages as needed
• Assist with MRI/CT scheduling/precerting as needed
• Friendly and Professional patient communication when:
  • answering and returning patient phone calls
  • providing various forms of patient education and handouts
  • escorting patients to and from exam rooms
  • responding to and charting patient messages
• Escorting patients to and from exam rooms
• Prepare exam rooms, restock supplies for clinic, power up computers, etc.
• Answering and returning patient phone calls

Must also possess:

• Proven positive, “teamwork” attitude and work history
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, TOC physicians and staff
• Must be a licensed x-ray tech
• Outstanding organizational, verbal and writing skills
• Ability to work under pressure, multitask and meet deadlines
• Strong patient care and interpersonal skills
• Independent, self-starting and highly motivated

Physical Demands:

• Consistently work at a productive pace
• Must be agile and able to work efficiently in space limited areas
• Must be able to use arms, hands, and fingers skillfully
• Frequent moving, pushing, pulling of heavy patients and/or equipment
• Must readily adapt to frequent treatment schedule changes
• Constant standing and walking
