Microchip Technology Incorporated is a leading supplier of field-programmable embedded control solutions by delivering a broad spectrum of innovative microcontrollers, analog, mixed signal and security products, wired and wireless connectivity products, related non-volatile memory products and Flash-IP solutions.
Summary:
Test and maintain Military Screening Production lots and samples following written specifications from travelers and procedures. Enter data on process travelers, log books, and computer data entry for lot tracking and equipment tracking. Interface with multiple people and multiple functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
  • Review x-ray photos
  • Adhere to all production schedules and established test times for all products
  • Maintaining a high level of quality workmanship.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Operation of various types of environmental chambers, such as thermal shock, salt atmosphere, moisture resistance, etc.
  • Maintain test records, automated test reports and production documentation.
  • Test devices per travelers and procedures.
  • Perform environmental tasks using calipers, microscopes, tweezers, and x-ray trays.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Operate x-ray machine
Requirements/Qualifications:
  • US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required.
  • Strong written and verbal skills in English.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to use computers.
  • Must have good vision.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office. (Excel, Word, Access)
  • Ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment.
  • Experience following operational policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of Test Equipment.
  • Minimum of 1 - 2 years of experience in related field.
Physical Demands
  • Must have the ability to multi task, often performing multiple functions simultaneously.
  • Frequent use of manufacturing test equipment and exposure to computer screens.
  • This position requires the ability to occasionally lift 25 to 50 pounds.
Work Environment
The job operates in an environment employing a variety of manufacturing and test techniques. Standard manufacturing and test equipment in addition to application specific systems.
