The Basics Of This Position
Performs duties in one or more media functional areas necessary to provide acquisitions, circulation, production, telecommunications, and other media services. Schedules and circulates materials and equipment; performs routine maintenance on materials and equipment; conducts inventory; provides equipment set-ups, performs routine audio and videotape duplication; maintains appropriate records and files. In some instances, performs select duties of the Library Associate including those in cataloging, acquisitions, library circulation; and learning lab.

What You'll Do
  • Schedules and circulates instructional materials and equipment; charges, discharges, distributes, maintains patron records; arranges for inter-campus loans; maintains liaison with library circulation; maintains databases. Provides equipment set-ups including computers, multimedia, LCD panels, speakers, microphones, and projectors; assures the correct operation of media equipment that is permanently installed in classrooms or circulated through storerooms; provides assistance for the use of camcorders used by faculty and students. Uses the breadth of resources available. Answers directional questions. Provides assistance and information to faculty and students using materials and equipment. Performs routine or preventive maintenance on media equipment. Conducts inventory of equipment. Performs audio and video tape duplication; prepares media materials; performs mounting and lamination services; serves as production assistant on television and other media productions; may assist in the production of audio and video materials. Maintains central library for films, videotape and digital media; maintains inspection and editing systems. Maintains appropriate files to support various functions; compiles statistics.
Education, Experience, And Other Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent and over one (1) year of relevant full-time experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Extron AV associate Certification
