Mechanical/Designs Engineer Jobs

Technical discipline position responsible for fixed equipment engineering including but not exclusive to operations support, project support, turnaround support, and design.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

• Answer technical inquiries, make technical recommendations, provide equipment and system troubleshooting, improve designs engineering tools, and develop designs engineering procedures.
• Participate in the planning and execution of unit turnarounds, both planned and unplanned.
• Develop and manage engineering work orders for projects ranging from repairing a valve to replacing large complex equipment or pressure vessels.
• Provide engineering analysis and evaluation of minor capital projects. In some instances, responsible for design, management and execution of minor capital projects.
• Develop purchase specifications for engineered mechanical equipment that ensures the equipment meets company and industry standards and manage the technical requirements for procuring the equipment.
• Be a role model for the Chevron way and Chevron’s safety culture.
• Spend time in the field working with operations and other technical teams to scope/troubleshoot mechanical problems and issues in process plants, develop alternatives, and propose and implement solutions for long term reliability and total cost of ownership.
• Carry out various studies to improve plant safety, reliability, throughput and economics.
• Provide engineering support for routine daily operation of process units within the refinery. Support requires collaboration and interpersonal skills necessary to work with operations, maintenance, and technical functions within the global refining system.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree: Mechanical or Civil Engineering
• 3+ years of experience in Oil & Gas or related industry

• The anticipated salary range for this position is $97,800 – $221,900. The selected candidate’s compensation will be determined based on their skills, experience, and qualifications.
