DRA covers all major mining centers with offices across Africa and the Middle East, North and South America, and the Asia-Pacific. We are seeking a Field Engineer - Mechanical, for a major project in Kingman, Arizona.
The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and managing all mechanical aspects of the project. This position requires a strong technical background in mechanical packages, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to manage and motivate a team of skilled workers.
Responsibilities

• Ensure assigned packages are installed / constructed in accordance with the project & vendor specifications.
• Manage the mark-up and back drafting of redline drawings by Contractors.
• Define requirements for engineering support required for construction works.
• Receive submittals and information from vendors and contractors for review by the Engineer.
• Inspect deliveries for missing, broken, or damaged items and ensure all equipment is properly tagged.
• Display proactive communication with project team with respect to discipline interface and problem solving.
• Manage, inspect, and release the relevant items of procurement, fabrication, and construction within area of discipline and responsibility.
• Ensure that the mechanical equipment is installed in accordance with engineering drawings and documents, client standards and specifications, industry standards and the relevant legislation (quality of design)
• Submit contractor reports and tests for engineering sign off.
• Manage installation contractor on site to complete mechanical works according to schedule and budget restraints.
• Manage receipt, record keeping and safe storage/handling of procurement packages.
• Assist with the commissioning of the assigned mechanical packages in accordance with the project & vendor specifications.
• Participate in the Total Safety Culture of DRA and site safety requirements.
• Coordinate installation interface between different disciplines.
• Provide input into all SHE matters, actively participate, and promote a total safety culture.
• Supervise commissioning discipline activities.

Requirements

• 10+ years of onsite construction and commissioning experience within a multi-disciplinary team in Industrial, Mining & Minerals, Oil & Gas, or equivalent environment
• Registered as a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Arizona - desirable
• Bachelor\'s degree in mechanical engineering
