Who wants to work in an exciting start-up environment without those pesky start-up $$$ or BOD constraints?

L&A needs a SolidWorks ninja with calloused hands that has experience developing complex hardware/custom automation systems for rugged, outdoor environments.

Responsibilities

• THE mechanical engineer on a small, elite team
• Rapidly conceive, design, and build prototype automation systems using SolidWorks and actual, real-life materials/tools
• Work at the behest of the Company President cross-functionally with the engineering team, on multiple projects, simultaneously, under challenging conditions (e.g., schedule, budget, client unique-ness, etc.)

Qualifications

• Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize your work - which you consider to be a reflection of you as an individual
• Elite (top 1% of 1%) problem solving and critical thinking skills (more important than even technical skill)
• (Not to exceed) Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology. Will give consideration to a rare EET in possession of top-1% mechanical skills (including fabrication, machining, integration, etc.).
• SolidWorks modeling expert
• Must LOVE to get hands dirty, bring your own inventions/products to life in the shop
• Preternatural sense of kinematics and obsession with gizmotry
• Would be pretty neat if candidate had experience working on/general exposure with systems that involve edge computing, sensor fusion, low voltage (48VDC or less) electric actuators, high ingress protection environments, autonomy, and all the other fun enabling technologies
• Fiery passion for mechanisms/controls/robotics (and a prior project portfolio to prove it)
